On 2 October, the Working Group on the Economy of the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR) held its 19th meeting in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

The Working Group deals with the economic aspects of the EU Water Framework Directive and contributes to the development of respective management plans, in particular with regard to the development of appropriate and pragmatic economic approaches to water management.

Hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine, the meeting was organised by the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR) with the support of the European Union Water Initiative Plus for Eastern Partnership Countries (EUWI+).
